Academic Team Description
The Islander Academic Team focuses on learning a vast array of topics, such as naval science and current events, to compete against other JROTC units in drill meet exams and gameshow style academic tournaments called Brain Brawls and Mindsoons. Cadets in this team travel all over Southern California, enjoy great food and friendships, and can proudly earn the team aiguillette, the team ribbon, and medals at competitions. All cadets, with or without experience, are welcomed and encouraged to attend practices.
